Here are the steps I am taking to run CHKDSK: Go to Command Prompt>type CHKDSK /f /r> it will inform me that some of the files are in use and ask if it is okay to run CHKDSK on the next startup...answer is Y (Yes)> I restart my computer and the CHKDSK starts on the startup>the check of my system runs without any obvious problem>the computer continues to open normal operations>which is followed very shortly thereafter by the following blue screen:
