My overall take on what has happened so far: The Operator is a force that is loosely based on the Slenderman of the Something Awful forums, though he doesn't bear all of the same hallmarks and so for this series, can be assumed to be an original creature. He is an unknown, unexplainable force that does not like cameras, that perhaps is linked to fire and/or arson, water and/or drought, the bending of physics and breaking of puny human minds. Being caught by Alex on film, the Operator was focused on and therefor his undefinable properties were given definition.
Either way, Alex set the film rolling, causing more and worse effects as the Operator became more embroiled in the situation. Three years pass. He begins to watch the tapes. Where this theory diverges for me is around #26: Create Paranormal Images. Creating paranormal images has been a hobby of mine for quite some time. Occasionally, I stumble upon odd web sites showcasing strange photos, and I always wondered if it were possible to get one of my own chops in a book, documentary, or web site just by casually leaking it out into the web -- whether they'd be supplements to bogus stories or not. So, let's make a shitload? Pro-tip 1: Before I export, I like to open my Levels panel, and slide my blacks and whites inward to lose true whites and true blacks. (Makes it look more legit, no?) Pro-tip 2: Try exporting your image in a very low JPG quality at first. See if it works with the image, as well as hide minor flaws. You don't have to post your source images, unless you want to of course.

Robert Wadlow. Robert Pershing Wadlow (February 22, 1918 – July 15, 1940), also known as the Alton Giant and the Giant of Illinois, is the tallest person in history for whom there is irrefutable evidence. He showed no indication of an end to his growth even at the time of his death. The Operator - Marble Hornets. The Operator is the assumed proper name for the Slender Man in the Marble Hornets universe. This tall, strange figure is the primary antagonist for the cast and crew of the student film Marble Hornets. This being is somehow connected to the strange symbol known as the Operator Symbol. The Operator appears to have no facial features, lacking eyes, ears, a nose, or a mouth; the flipper-like “hands” at the end of his/its extra-long arms seem to lack fingers or thumbs. It is unknown whether the Operator needs to breathe; he/it has not been shown to do so, but there is no concrete evidence that he/it does not. He/it does not speak or otherwise vocalize, & therefore any communication needs to be accomplished via other means, such as a proxy (see below).
