Learning Guitar After Age 40. So I bought my wife a guitar a couple years back, and suggested that she takes guitar lessons. She only played it a couple of times as it wasn't really her thing, but she did notice that I was fascinated by it. Not long after, my wife and my daughter, bought me a Seagull S6 Original guitar. It turns out that many feel that this guitar is the best guitar you can get for the price it costs.
But most important, it was an instrument I could call my own. And so begins my journey to learn how to play guitar. So I started my journey with Hal Leonard Play Along acoustic books, along with some finger-style books, Beatles sheet music, short songs from the Acoustic Guitar Magazine and alike. I tried out lessons from a guitar store but needed to take a short break as my father was ill and I was spending alot of time with him in and out of the hospitals. Anyways, this is where I met my guitar teach Gabriel Coia.
