National Theatre School - Description Duration: Three years, full-time BILINGUAL PROGRAM :Anglophone and francophone students work together as a group; bilingualism is a definite advantage but not a requirement. The professional artists invited to teach in the Set and Costume Design program are chosen for their proficiencies and expertise and not for their fluency in either of Canada's official languages. Scenography as the architecture of moving images Evita Karasek will graduate from the Set and Costume Design program in May 2012. The MFA in Studio Arts program provides an environment of rigourous and critical inquiry in a studio oriented environment. It offers a disciplinary program within the context of a pluralist theoretical framework.The following concentrations are offered: The residency requirement consists of five consecutive terms of full-time study: fall, winter and summer terms in the first year, and fall and winter terms in the second year. In the third or fourth year and no less than six months following the successful completion of course work, students must present their studio project and complete the exhibition or film project. The MFA in Studio Arts is the terminal degree in the visual arts. The first two years allow for concentrated study and focus on the seminars and individual studio experimentation.
