It offers a disciplinary program within the context of a pluralist theoretical framework.The following concentrations are offered: The residency requirement consists of five consecutive terms of full-time study: fall, winter and summer terms in the first year, and fall and winter terms in the second year. In the third or fourth year and no less than six months following the successful completion of course work, students must present their studio project and complete the exhibition or film project. The MFA in Studio Arts is the terminal degree in the visual arts. The first two years allow for concentrated study and focus on the seminars and individual studio experimentation.
