The controls are simple, but you need experience with normal HD video cameras to really understand the settings. Cineform processed the footage very quickly and I had my first 3D video within 30 minutes of my first use of the camera. However, the 3D Hero has a few quirks that can be aggravating. Also remember that the cameras cannot zoom. Overall, this 3D Hero really does perform well for a variety of conditions and types of shoots. I called technical support regarding this and they affirmed that yes, sorry, it's unfortunate I lost a $.50 part and you GoPro won't sell me a replacement even for $5, the only way to get a replacement locking pin or screw cap is to BUY AN ENTIRE NEW FREAKING MOUNT. I think this is a really horrible way to treat loyal customers. Until this changes I will discourage others from buying GoPro products. NVG Mount. Useful kit, but wrist strap too short The mounting cradle does use the same mounting plate & bases as the HERO cameras, so mounting it is very modular & customizable to get it right in the perfect spot. the wrist strap is what i purchased this kit for the most, and I was disappointed to find that it is barely long enough to secure to your arm when wearing a jacket. since I and many others use this camera for snow sports, its surprising to see that it isn't able to fit over a regular jacket - let alone a thicker, insulated ski or snowboarding jacket. the only way it works well, is when applied to a bare wrist. overall, the cradle serves its purpose, but the wrist strap has limited uses, due to its short length.
