Near Field Communications , otherwise known as NFC, has yet to be made widely popular in the U.S. Although it’s used often in countries like Japan, it’s taking a bit longer for the U.S. to catch up to the trend. Google , however, is on a mission to spread the NFC love, but is doing so somewhat stealthily.
Since day one of its initial beta, Google+ for Android, the native app for Google's new social networking feature, has been available on Android Market, unless you're in one of those countries where Google hasn't opened it up. Strangely, Google must have underestimated the geographical reach of the initial beta testers' social circles, as people with access to Google+ now do not have access to the Android app. Until Google changes the restrictions, I will be updating this post with a direct download for the latest available APK.
