TWOCC IN SOLIDARITY CAMPAIGN by TWOC Collective. For the past month, TWOCC has traveled the northeast region holding rallies, retreats, community gatherings, dinners, capacity building sessions and lectures that raise visibility and awareness for our lived experiences and strengthen our solidarity. Our guiding themes are Healing, Restoration, Fellowship and Action. We have lit a fire in the bellies of local organizers from D.C., Connecticut, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Boston and NYC. This fire connects us all to a national movement of Trans People of Color Leadership.

We appreciate the countless Contributors to our campaign!!! LGBT orgs that lack Trans Women of Color (plural) in leadership roles and on their boards are problematic. Our work is not community organizing or advocacy and we are not activists. We are raising our goal to 20K because of course, 10K could never fund our work! ALEXIS Documentary | Other. ALEXIS is a documentary film project that is as much a personal and family story as it is a film about modern day activism for Trans Persons (Transgender) basic human rights.

My parent, Alexis Martinez and her activism work is the focus of this film. There has been a global momentum towards the acknowledgement of social injustice toward Trans Persons and our goal in documenting Alexis Martinez's story is to add strength to the collective voice of Trans persons who are demanding change in legislation and local social biases so that Trans people have the ability to live and operate with all their basic human rights in place. The issues concerning Trans persons range between Black market healthcare crisis, Homeless youth, Chronic lack of employment, High Incarceration rates, Illegal Sex Trade work and High suicide rates.

DONATE to this project: Quirell | Indiegogo. Quirell is a social network currently in the planning stages being developed by queer/trans collective CollectQT. Quirell differs from traditional social networks in that it aims to be a place for marginalized community members and others to escape the noise and over-saturation of traditional social networks. This project is needed because as users of social media, we are affected by the lack of privacy measures in place on current social networks, ‘real name’ policies, and the way that new features are implemented and security is handled within most social networking sites. Our fundraising campaign is important because of the scope of what we hope to accomplish. Funding that we achieve will go toward paying for server space, our project managers, and the team working to bring you Quirell.

Funding will go toward paying programmers, web developers, designers, and maintainers of Quirell. We strongly believe that no-one should ever be asked to work for free or to, “Think of the exposure.” El/La Para TransLatinas - Give Out Day. Inicio.
