Cardboard Gift Tags. Instead of purchasing ordinary printed gift tags at the store, you can create your own natural looking tags from scraps of cardboard.

What you need For each gift tag you will need: One piece of sturdy non-corrugated cardboard, big enough for the desired tag size Several pieces of contrasting cardboard (corrugated cardboard works well for this, since it has an interesting texture) Several yards of natural colored raffia Tacky craft glue Strong scissors Small holed paper punch Large-eyed yarn needle Ruler Heavy book (to use as a weight) Piece of waxed paper or aluminum foil Paper cutter (optional) Instructions These tags are beautiful, interesting to look at, and a good way of using up pieces of cardboard which would otherwise simply be thrown away.

Mate­ri­als Step 1: Tie Remove the paper wrap­ping from yarn. Step 2: Repeat Flip the yarn over to the oppo­site side and tie the nylon thread around the ball again, this time mak­ing sure to make the tie as tight as you can.
