Ink. Ink is a liquid or paste that contains pigments or dyes and is used to color a surface to produce an image, text, or design.

Ink

Ink is used for drawing or writing with a pen, brush, or quill. Thicker inks, in paste form, are used extensively in letterpress and lithographic printing. Ink can be a complex medium, composed of solvents, pigments, dyes, resins, lubricants, solubilizers, surfactants, particulate matter, fluorescers, and other materials. The components of inks serve many purposes; the ink’s carrier, colorants, and other additives affect the flow and thickness of the ink and its appearance when dry.

Types[edit] Ink formulas vary, but commonly involve four components: ColorantsVehicles (binders)AdditivesCarrier substances Inks generally fall into four classes:[1] AqueousLiquidPastePowder Colorants[edit] Pigment inks are used more frequently than dyes because they are more color-fast, but they are also more expensive, less consistent in color, and have less of a color range than dyes.[1] Paper.

Different typologies of paper Paper is a thin material produced by pressing together moist fibers, typically cellulose pulp derived from wood, rags or grasses, and drying them into flexible sheets.

Paper

Paper is a versatile material with many uses. Whilst the most common is for writing and printing upon, it is also widely used as a packaging material, in many cleaning products, in a number of industrial and construction processes, and even as a food ingredient – particularly in Asian cultures. Paper, and the pulp papermaking process, was said to be developed in China during the early 2nd century AD, possibly as early as the year 105 A.D.,[1] by the Han court eunuch Cai Lun, although the earliest archaeological fragments of paper derive from the 2nd century BC in China.[2] Pen. Pen

Types of pens[edit] Modern[edit] A mark made on paper with a rollerball pen, and the tip of that pen. The main modern types of pens can be categorized by the kind of writing tip or point: A fountain pen A marker, or felt-tip pen, has a porous tip of fibrous material. Historic[edit] These historic types of pens are no longer in common use as writing instruments, but may be used by calligraphers and other artists: History[edit] Pen Heaven - Parker Pens - Waterman Pens - Sheaffer Pens - Fountain Pens - Pen Gifts - Engraved Pens - Personalised Leather Journals - Personalised Pens.
