Would it be possible for people to choose where their taxes go. I've thought about this, and here's my thinking.
First, folks don't get one vote per dollar of taxes: it'd be unfair to let the wealthiest people decide where tax dollars go to that degree. One vote per person. Second, you've got to mention all areas of the budget on the form, or else people will neglect the boring-but-necessary programs.
