Investors were disappointed by this morning’s Bureau of Labor Statistics report, which showed an addition of 169,000 non-farm jobs nationwide in August — fewer than expected, even though it dropped the unemployment rate to 7.3% from July’s 7.4% and 8.1% a year ago.
