That’s where elite running backs like Arian Foster, Adrian Peterson and Chris Johnson will be found. Likewise for top-notch signal callers like Michael Vick, Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady. Even the game’s top pass catchers like Andre Johnson, Roddy White and Calvin Johnson are gone by the time 20 picks have come off the board. As an Arian Foster owner last season I can attest to how helpful it is to find a first-round-caliber performer in the eighth or ninth round, or even later. Hindsight is 20/20 when it comes to fantasy football, but rather than wonder what could have been come the end of the season, now is the time to identify and target potential sleepers. There is no shortage of possible breakout performers at every position, but it can be nearly impossible to predict them.

Christian Petersen/Getty Images As the Indianapolis Colts did recently with quarterback Peyton Manning, the San Francisco 49ers have taken receiver Michael Crabtree off the physically unable to perform list.

Per league rules, Crabtree can now return to practice with his team. NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora tweeted the announcement today: "49ers announce they have taken WR Michael Crabtree off the PUP list. He can return to practice now. " Crabtree was dealing with a left foot injury and had missed all three preseason games. In terms of fantasy football, not much should change for Crabtree. The reasons for stagnant interest in Crabtree remain: injuries, bad quarterback play and an inability to take over games like his high draft would suggest.
