It was from the question-and-answer site Quora, to which she had only recently subscribed. She didn’t know much about Quora at the time, except that it was a place where users posted questions others would do their best to answer, such as “Who’s the yellow suit guy in Gangnam Style?” Or “If the Earth were a cube, how would gravity be different?” She found the site intriguing and informative. That afternoon, the question was: “What is it like to regret having children?” Being a practical person and very forthright, Elder, who works for a mortgage company in Lafayette, Louisiana, sat down to write. 6 facts about American fathers. 6 facts about American fathers

Today, fathers who live with their children are taking a more active role in caring for them and helping out around the house. And the ranks of stay-at-home and single fathers have grown significantly in recent decades. At the same time, more and more children are growing up without a father in the home. Women more than men adjust their careers for family life. For working parents in the U.S., the challenge of juggling careers and family life continues to be a front-burner issue – one that is being recognized by a growing number of employers who have adopted family-friendly policies such as paid leave.

Women more than men adjust their careers for family life

But while few Americans want to see a return to traditional roles of women at home and men in the workplace, one reality persists: Women most often are the ones who adjust their schedules and make compromises when the needs of children and other family members collide with work, Pew Research Center data show. In a 2013 survey, we found that mothers were much more likely than fathers to report experiencing significant career interruptions in order to attend to their families’ needs.

Is This Cheating Or An Open Relationship?

Well, crap, when you put it that way, it sounds like a soap opera plot. But according to the New York Post, many couples are pushing the boundaries of the contract of marriage in just this way. While open relationships are nothing new, the Post examines a few unusual examples of "infidelity clauses," or, as they put it, women who "let their husbands cheat. " Relationship coach Suzie Johnson recently counseled a couple through the very decision above, and says, “They agreed to a weekend amnesty, where the guy can do what he wants for just one weekend a year. In return, she gets the bigger family she craved.” The Post names a few examples of couples who stick together after someone has "strayed," but they completely confuse consensual open relationships with a couple choosing to stay together after somebody cheats.

Since the 1960s, as marriage rates have fallen and women’s employment opportunities have improved, fewer and fewer women rely on husbands for their material needs. Now, the majority of children no longer depend primarily on the income of a married father. How parents balance work and family when both work: 5 key findings. Up until recently, I hadn’t really given much thought to the importance of sex ed, and I’ve determined that it’s because my experience with sexual education was just absolutely top-of-the-line.

So good in fact, that hearing what other people got for sex ed in middle and high school down right shocked me. Will This Powerful Campaign Make Men Do More Laundry? The laundry detergent brand Ariel India has launched a campaign called #ShareTheLoad encouraging men to help in household work. It's a much-needed message: a study by the brand found that 73% of Indian women felt their husbands prioritize relaxing over helping with housework, and 2/3 of Indian women felt that an inequality exists with housework. According to Ejaz Ghani, a U.N. economic advisor, "Despite recent economic advances, India’s gender balance for entrepreneurship remains among the lowest in the world. Improving this balance is an important step for India’s development and its achievement of greater economic growth and gender equality.

" The campaign started out by engaging in the conversation and asking #IsLaundryOnlyAWomansJob. The conversation spiked interest and resulted in a social media challenge called "The Wash Bucket Challenge," featuring men taking photos of themselves with wash loads of laundry.
