Etsy Mini | Handmade Marketing. Posted by HandmadeMarketing.org in Advertising & Press , Selling Platforms on 04 8th, 2009 | 2 responses “Etsy Mini” is a great marketing tool created by Etsy to allow sellers to show items in their Etsy shop on website that affiliated with Etsy.com. Our HandmadeMarketing.org team suggests looking into Etsy Mini for your shop, or your street team, if you tend to frequent blogs or other websites outside the Etsy sphere. So… how does Etsy Mini work? Sellers add photos of shop items to Etsy Mini and then paste (or link) the mini to websites (think your blog, EtsyLove.Ning.com, MySpace, etc.) You love it as much as we do, right? Many Etsy sellers we have talked to absolutely love Etsy Mini and swear there is no better, more efficient way to venture outside Etsy.com and make sales. Do you use Etsy Mini for free Etsy advertising?

Handmade Code: Craft Cult :: Etsy Blog. As part of our Handmade Code series, we’re bringing you news and how-to’s about the innovations emerging from the Etsy Developer Community. Located at developer.etsy.com, the Etsy Developer Community serves as a hub for third-party software developers who are making neat and helpful programs for Etsy shoppers and sellers. In this edition, magicjelly presents her and juln’s site, Craft Cult, which includes the incredibly useful apps The Heartomatic for sellers and The Vault for shoppers. The Heartomatic was first developed by Julian, a.k.a. juln, back in 2007. He really only intended it for his own use, but told a few of his Etsy friends about it, too. One of them posted about The Heartomatic on the forums and word spread fast — soon there were thousands of people using it!

In November 2008, Julian and I launched Craft Cult, a collaborative project. What’s the basic idea of the application? We haven’t forgotten about buyers. Where do we go to find it? Who is it for? How do you use it? Tools for Etsy Shops - Hearts, Views, Front Page Treasury Lists on Craft Cult. Greenbeanbaby art: how to run a successful etsy shop... Many of us like to create in some form, right?! And wouldn't it be wonderful if we could bring in oodles of dollars for making what we love?! Well, while i am not an expert in this matter, i DO have a few opinions and ideas on how to run a successful etsy shop... [side note: yes, my own shop is empty for now but it's for a very good reason... and it will be back up by spring] 1. show off your work.... flickr is a wonderful spot to display your work and let others see the goods you offer... while you cannot put prices on your stuff within flickr or have a link on your photo page to your shop , you CAN have that link in your profile... there are TONS of groups in flickr that you can join and this will help you get your goods seen by many others... groups range from specific crafts to illustrations to specific colors to general topics [including an etsy group] 2. but, what if you don't get much feedback or hits on your blog or flickr photos?!

6. have a variety of prices and items...
