" Sean Booth of Autechre spoke to blogger/designer Sheikh Ahmed just before the release of Autechre's 10th album for Warp Records entitled Oversteps . They discussed the album, touring, The X Factor and a recent solo collaboration. Autechre are considered to be one of the most innovative and respected practitioners of experimental dance music.
The duo Sean Booth and Rob Brown formed Autechre (pronounced "Aw-tek-er") in 1987 from their home town of Rochdale , Greater Manchester.

Daraufhin nahm ihn das Label Plug Research unter Vertrag, auf dem noch im gleichen Jahr sein Debütalbum 1983 erschien. Das Album war geprägt von Hip-Hop- und Free-Jazz-Einflüssen. 2007 wechselte Flying Lotus zum englischen Label Warp Records.
