The second season began airing on September 21, 2010.[14] On May 18, 2011, CBS renewed the series for a third season.[15] On August 18, 2011, CBS announced that the series would crossover by having Daniela Ruah guest star as Kensi Blye on Hawaii Five-0.[16] On January 11, 2012, CBS announced that the series would do a second crossover with Hawaii Five-0 by having Daniel Dae Kim and Scott Caan guest star on an episode in May which occurred in May 2012 with the Hawaii Five-0 Season 2 episode, "Pa Make Loa" and the NCIS: Los Angeles Season 3 episode, "Touch of Death".[17]

Early life and family[edit] Ruah's father is from a prominent Portuguese-based Sephardic Jewish family.[2][3] Ruah's maternal grandfather was an Ashkenazi Jew who was born in 1922 in what is now Wrocław, Poland. Ruah's maternal grandmother, Vera, was born in Lisbon, Portugal; Vera's father (Ruah's great-grandfather) was of half Sephardic Jewish and half Spanish ancestry, and Vera's mother (Ruah's great-grandmother) was a Ukrainian Ashkenazi Jew from Odessa.[4] She is the great-grand niece of the captain Artur Carlos de Barros Basto.[5] She also has distant ancestors from São Tomé and Príncipe. Ruah attended St Julian's School in Carcavelos, near Lisbon.

Early life[edit] Foa was born in Manhattan; at the age of three he put together a puzzle in record time, gaining him entry to the Dalton School. He spent all his remaining school years there. While in high school at Dalton, Foa spent all four summers at the Interlochen Arts Camp in upstate Michigan, pursuing his interest in live theater. He continued his theatrical studies at the University of Michigan, graduating with honors and earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in musical theatre performance.
