The pocoo pastebin (also known as lodgeit) was an experiment we started a couple of years ago to showcase the capabilities of the pygments syntax highlighter. And that also was the time where pastebin.com was not very friendly regarding the use of copy/paste. A few years later I was still very happy to have this thing around but everything else has become better and better over time and seeing that the very same syntax highligher which we originally write for a bulletin board is now used by github and their amazing gist service makes it less important to have the pastebin around.
