Startseite :: uni-assist e.V. Cognitive Psychology / Neuropsychology PhD. Research areas Research themes Research is focused within four core collaborative, thematic groupings: Social Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Forensic Psychology and Developmental Psychology. The research environment is designed to sustain a strong, vibrant research culture, encourage collaboration, and unite staff and students with shared research interests. Our themes ensure critical mass and create a highly energetic and stimulating intellectual climate. Research activity is supported by: centrally co-ordinated provision and use of laboratories and technical support selection of speakers for our weekly departmental research colloquia weekly research meetings within each theme to develop, report and analyse research, and host our many visiting scholars several monthly small meeting series on specific areas of cross-cutting research (such as forensic, social development, emotion, social cognition and health).

Social Psychology The Social Psychology group includes the following themes: International Programmes. Programme information. The two-year research master in Cognitive and Clinical Neuroscience has five specialisations: The curriculum of the programme includes theoretical core courses, advanced statistics, workshops and skill trainings. Core courses form the backbone of the chosen specialisation. Interdisciplinary courses Through interdisciplinary courses, you also become acquainted with the broad range of complementary research approaches that link the four specialisations. The shared curriculum fosters exchange of knowledge and cooperation across the specialisations, as well as important skills for a research career. During the course Interdisciplinary Research Proposals, for example, small teams of students write a grant proposal on their topic of interest and present these during a final symposium.

The curriculum as a whole gives you a solid intellectual foundation and practical skills necessary for conducting the master’s thesis research and for pursuing a future career in science or a related field. Student and Instructor Site for Discovering Statistics Using IBM SPSS Statistics, Fourth Edition. Book Home Welcome to the companion website for the fourth edition of Discovering Statistics Using IBM SPSS Statistics by Andy Field.

In this highly anticipated new edition of his best-selling textbook, author Andy Field takes us through the rigours of SPSS with his signature brand of humour, now updated to include even more colourful characters and challenging problems. This updated companion website provides resources for students and lecturers based on each chapter of the new edition, along with testbanks and tools highlighting the applicability of SPSS to other subject areas such as Health Sciences and Sports Studies. Watch Andy introduce the new edition in this behind-the-scenes video: Click here to watch more Andy Field videos, including the ‘Ask Andy Anything’ series in which Andy responds to the questions his readers posted on Facebook!

The Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology (ECP) programs and research examine the interplay between complex human systems (cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural, and biological) to maximize: (a) learning, (b) wellness (mental and physical), and (c) human development in multiple settings and throughout the lifespan. More specifically, they examine issues pertaining to cognitive processes and developmental neuroscience, assessment and intervention, and the design and evaluation of learning environments and instructional practices, with both typical and atypical populations in mind. While ECP’s primary disciplinary bases are psychology and education, it contributes to and is enriched by extended interdisciplinary collaborations with, among others, medicine and other health professions, neurosciences, computer science, science, social work and policy, and law.

Our graduates secure careers in a varied and rewarding range of settings. Master of Arts (M.A.) Post-Ph.D. Canadá. GSN Doctoral program overview - Graduate School of Systemic Neurosciences GSN-LMU - LMU Munich. What makes the GSN so attractive? Internationally recognized, cutting-edge research opportunitiesFlexible degree structureBroad exposure to various research fieldsSupport of interdisciplinary research projects First of all, the scientific environment in which the GSN operates is one of the neuroscience hot-spots worldwide. Besides offering excellent cutting-edge research opportunities, the structure of a GSN degree program has many advantages to a traditional doctorate. Through a combination of seminars and coursework, GSN students keep a broad scope even as their own research becomes more focused. A GSN stipend program supports interdisciplinary PhD research projects, facilitating interchange of ideas across the fields of neuroscience.

One strength of the GSN doctoral program lies within its flexibility. Below is a schematic representation of the GSN training program, followed by a more in-depth program overview.
