Fauteuil Eames Lounge Chair et son repose-pied Ottoman. Le fauteuil Eames Lounge Chair et son repose-pied, dont les appellations exactes sont respectivement Eames Lounge (670) et Ottoman (671), ont été commercialisés en 1956 après un travail de développement des designers Charles et Ray Eames pour le fabricant de meubles Herman Miller. Ce fauteuil est le premier objet dessiné par le couple Eames destiné à la commercialisation à grande échelle. Il fait partie des objets de design industriel et a été conçu par le couple Eames avec comme objectif qu'il « ait l'aspect chaud et l'attrait d'un gant de baseball usé de première base. »[1].

Ces deux meubles sont fabriqués avec une structure en contreplaqué de palissandre lustré et moulé dans les trois dimensions, garnie de coussins en mousse revêtus de cuir noir ou écru. He enrolled in the University of Washington program in architecture, graduating with a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) about 1929. In 1931, after earning a Master's degree in architecture from M.I.T., Nakashima sold his car and purchased a round-the-world tramp steamship ticket.
