I could call it short-sighted, misguided, any number of other prefixed words, but perhaps I’ll just tell you why microsites are often not the best strategy to pursue. Before I get to that though, I want to point out that I find microsites a bad idea most of the time. Sometimes they are a great idea. But, you protest! So what’s wrong with microsites? You lose brand identity and audience engagement You spend significant corporate energy on positive brand perception and awareness. Brand awareness has a search impact as well.
