It`s always interesting to see where our fish swim off to! It is also good for people to see pieces of art in `real life` not just on the gallery wall amongst tons of other artworks, when it can be tricky to imagine what something is going to look like in your own home . Yep, after that movie, I concluded that my life would most likely end in the jaws of a shark. Ok, so I’m a bit dramatic, but I told you I’m scarred. Yet, every year my family gathers together in sick anticipation each evening to watch Shark Week on the Discovery Channel and scare ourselves even more. How any I dealing with my shark phobia? I’m putting sharks in my house to gaze upon everyday.
The boys room received the Pallet Shark (shown above) which goes great with their Pallet Surfboard and Pallet Beach Banner. I took my vibrating sander and smoothed out all the edges. After sanding I gave my shark the lightest brushing of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Duck Egg Blue.

Jaws is lurking around the kids’ playroom. He may not be a Great White, but he’s a ferocious black tip that dwells in the waters right off my coast! This fun shark pallet art is about as close as I ever want to get to meeting a shark. I’m in love with pallet art right now. If you liked my Surfboard Pallet Art and the pallet Wood Beach Banner, then you’ll like today’s tutorial on Shark Pallet Art. I started off the project printing out an image of a black tip shark onto a transparency. Next, using my overhead projector and transparency, I traced the shark image onto the back of some wrapping paper and then cut the image out with scissors. I lined up the boards that were cut from a pallet and glued them together with wood glue and held them snug with clamps. TIP: Now if I had to do this all over again, I would find a thin board to use as a backing. Pinterest. Pinterest. Créer une lampe "bord de mer" - défi Altéa. J'ai reçu 6 petites terrines en porcelaine toutes mignonnes ... encore merci Altéa ! Le thème du défi n°5 était "vacances", j'ai participé aussi et j'ai encore gagné !!! (avec l'ensemble des participantes cette fois-ci !) Ce défi, ce fut l'occasion de faire une lampe "bord de mer" en utilisant, entre autres, du bois flotté ramassé pendant mes vacances ... La voici : La réalisation : Tout d'abord, les galets sont des faux !!! J'ai déjà testé (bien avant le blog) avec des vrais, comme les gros qu'il y a par chez moi ... obligée de chausser des chaussures de sécurité, de tenir le galet entre ses pieds, de mettre une mèche en carbure de tungstène sur la perceuse et de mettre des lunettes pour les éclats ... pas cool !!!
