I hang out in the WOXY Lives room at turntable.fm quite a bit, I have found this place to be a great place to hear new stuff and talk with people who have similar musical tastes. Music writing has never been more accessible. And it's been a wonderful thing - if not almost overwhelming. I've always said, no matter who, what, where, when - everybody's got a banger in them. But nonetheless, we're seeing cats younger by the day who are delivering some serious riddims.

I'm not big on mid year ish, but i figured i should prolly collect my thoughts on whats been dope so far this year. Could have easily picked Take Me Over or Pharaohs and Pyramids instead. This is a band that's on top of its game and is probably the best Australian band right now.

De jongens uit Leeds hebben na de show in Sugar Factory, eind februari, aardig doorgehaald in Amsterdam, maar zitten om 10.00 uur alweer in de volgepakte ontbijtzaal van het Flying Pig Hostel. Fris is anders, maar ze moeten wel: eerst op tijd uitchecken en dan tien uur in een krap bemeten busje naar Kopenhagen.
