" Zimmer was joined by James Newton Howard on the previous installments, Howard's propensity for percussive propulsion serving them well. So Zimmer's haunting melodies were a fantastic contribution to the world of Nolan's finale. The franchise's history with Oscar has been an interesting one where the music is concerned. With "The Dark Knight," Zimmer had had enough and he took his case up with the branch personally. I don't know if the new film has enough gas to get the score there but I think it's fantastic work that deserves recognition. Hans Zimmer ; Des mélodies pour Hollywood - Part 1 (French) The Dark Knight Rises Soundtrack! The Dark Knight Rises – Soundtrack Samples. The Dark Knight Rises - Introduction. UJAM teamed up with composer Hans Zimmer and Warner Bros., inviting Batman fans all over the world to join an epic choir in Christopher Nolan's film "The Dark Knight Rises".

Thousands of people from 107 different countries followed and recorded their chant on ujam.com. See the official trailer featuring a preliminary version of the chant, a mix of the voices of thousands of early UJAM contributors: The chant became a very complicated thing because I wanted hundreds of thousands of voices, and it's not so easy to get hundreds of thousands of voices. So, we Twittered and we posted on the internet, for people who wanted to be part of it. It seemed like an interesting thing. We've created this world, over these last two movies, and somehow I think the audience and the fans have been part of this world.

Hans Zimmer THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Interview. With a career that spans three decades and encompasses well over 100 films, Hans Zimmer is one of the film industry’s leading and most influential composers. This weekend, Collider got the opportunity to chat with him at the junket for Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows, and he talked about his work and approach to finding the score for each project. While we’ll run the portion of the interview where he talked about Sherlock 2, closer to the film’s December 16th release, we did want to share what he had to say about his current work on The Dark Knight Rises. Zimmer said that in his attempt to create a sound that nobody has ever heard, he had a very ambitious idea for the film, but that it was so experimental, he didn’t know if it would actually work. Now that he’s figured out his cornerstone for the score, he’s opened it up for the fans of the franchise to record themselves because he wants hundreds of thousands of voices, chanting.

I’m hellishly ambitious on that. ZIMMER: I read it.
