Maria’s synesthetic composition, which appeals to other senses beyond hearing, expresses philosophy and emotion inspired by nature, nostalgia, and friction in the life in abstract, as if to paint on canvas by colored sound.
Her sound is easily “visualized” by listeners. Through her experience in a wide-range of genres originally as a bassist, she creates an interesting balance in a rhythm part. Laid-back bass line and fractured rhythm of raw samples loosen the beats, then refined digital notes tighten it up. Purposely integrated old tape recorder noise and dreamy resonated melody let songs be nostalgic and mellow. Intense unpredictable changes in almost every track take listeners to completely different atmosphere.

L'installazione aggrovigliata del brasiliano Henrique Oliveira si chiama "Baitogogo" ed è stata ospitata fino al 9 settembre 2013 a Palais de Tokyo, a Parigi in occasione di "Nouvelles Vague del Palais de Tokyo" che ha visto 53 artisti protagonisti di mostre ed eventi in diversi luoghi della città. Ma cerchiamo di indagare e scoprire qualcosa in più partendo dal significato di quest'opera affascinante, che sembra essere sospesa tra l'arte e la natura.
"Baitogogo" letteralmente significa "Confinato", ed è il nome di un uomo che secondo una leggenda di origine indigena rimase rinchiuso nel regno dell’infanzia. Ma sembra che la sua leggenda abbia una doppia natura e coincida anche con quella di colui che favorì il disordine naturale seppellendo la moglie nella terra senza poi ricoprirla d’acqua.
