From Wounded Knee To Libya: A Century Of Military Interventions. Above: Mass burial at Wounded Knee in South Dakota. Manifest Destiny that justified the slaughter of indigenous peoples, has turned into American exceptionalism which justifies US military interventions and slaughters around the world. Preface: We believe that Soviet communism was an abomination. Stalin was certainly a tyrant: he killed countless political enemies or threw them into insane asylums. We also have littler tolerance foruseful idiots who defend communism as a force for good. In short, we hate Soviet era communism. And Putin also runs Russia like it’s plaything, with little regard for the desires of his people.

But U.S. warmongers have also been hyping the Russian threat with self-serving lies – and committing atrocities and telling lies – for some 70 years. America Launched the Cold War Even Before World War II Had Ended Joseph Stalin and the Soviets were key in helping the U.S. to defeat the Nazis. 20 million Russians died fighting the Nazis in World War II. And yet the U.S. started competing against Stalin – and treating him like an enemy – before WWII had even ended. notes: New Scientist reports: John Pilger points out: America Has Waged a Brutal Dirty Tricks Campaign for 70 Years Moreover: Todd E. 59 More Slang Phrases From The 1920s We Should Start Using Again. I learned a couple things from the response to my article on slang phrases from the 1920s. Number first: The Roaring Twenties really did have the coolest vernacular ever. However, I also found out that the internet loves the 1920s as much as I do – except for the overt racism, ban on alcohol and regressive gender politics, of course. In terms of vocab, the 20s got all of us beat. For all you 20s junkies, here are 59 more great slang phrases from the decade that keeps on giving. Let’s bring this shit back. The Bell Island Phenomenon. +2 more posted on Jan, 5 2014 @ 03:50 PM This is an old but interesting series of events that took started December 2 1978 covered an area over 1000km apart. The phenomena was labelled as the Mystery Booms. Hundreds off reports came in over a period of months of booms going off in the sky and houses shaking. By the end of the year the US Government due to public demand had commisoned the US Navy to do an enquiry into the event. The official explanation was that is was caused by supersonic planes bouncing booms off the atmosphere and special atmospherical conditions.. Some officials found this difficult to stomach as there where no planes in the area at the times of the events.

Doctor William Donn, A Chief Atmospheric Scientist refuted the claims and stated that the booms where far too loud to have been caused by super sonic planes. The booms in the sky and not that interesting by themselves. Blue fire was reported jetting out 18 inches from plug sockets. The People's Sanctions. Anti-Apartheid protest in South Africa. A nation that is boycotted is a nation that is in sight of surrender. Apply this economic, peaceful, silent, deadly remedy and there will be no need for force. —Woodrow Wilson, 1919 Are economic sanctions an effective alternative to the use of force in international relations? Scholars are divided on the issue. Yet the passing of Nelson Mandela brings to mind one grassroots campaign for economic sanctions that brought down a ruthless racial minority government: The campaign for sanctions against South Africa. The anti-apartheid movement was one of the first grassroots campaigns to use economic sanctions to depose a government. By the 1980s, most of the world’s countries had imposed political, economic, and military sanctions on the South African regime. Sanctions. The Truth About Thanksgiving: Brainwashing of the American History Textbook | Broken Mystic. Those who are indigenous to this land we call “The United States of America” have been long misrepresented and pushed out of American history textbooks in favor of glorifying those who now rule this nation and represent the dominant culture.

What kind of democracy are we when education institutions and teachers refuse to mention the fact that 10 to 30 million Natives were killed at the hands of European invasion and colonialism? What is the point of having a “free market of ideas” when selective and biased history is being taught to our children? There is no other way to put it, but erasing the memory of an entire race of people through distorted history is a systematic way of deceiving and lying to our children.

Not only are we presented with biased history, but we are also subjected to an ever-growing culture of capitalism, in which commercialization of an ambiguous holiday merely pulls us away from facts and meaning. Why is it important to mention the plague? ~Broken Mystic~ Photos de George X Lampkin - George X Lampkin. On the take and loving it. PRISONERS OF PROFIT: Private Prison Empire Rises Despite Startling Record Of Juvenile Abuse. Christian Black Codes of 1724. The Christian Black Codes of 1724, were initiated during reconstruction after the Civil war to control blacks after they were emancipated. Passed by Southern States, instead of giving blacks the same rights as white people, the codes limited the blacks freedom severely. They included that blacks had to be in service of a white person, that they could not have congregations together, that they could not speak out, and that they could not have weapons.

They also included that blacks could not go out without a white 'supervisor', thus blacks had to take on the religions and holidays and gods of their white superiors. These same black codes were said to have been made null and void with the ratification of the 13th Amendment in 1865, although many southern states adopted "Black Codes" to keep former slaves from voting and imposed other restrictions. The United States has moved to halt its military aid to Rwanda because of the country’s support for M23, a rebel group believed to use child soldiers in the neighboring Democratic Republic of the Congo, the State Department said.

But some countries with child soldiers in their own militaries were exempt from the sanctions, and human rights activists say this sends a mixed message. The action on Rwanda is part of U.S. sanctions targeting the use of child soldiers that also apply to the Central African Republic, Myanmar, Sudan and Syria, the State Department said Thursday.

It was not immediately clear whether those nations receive U.S. military assistance. "Our goal is to work with countries who have been listed to ensure that any involvement in child soldiers — any involvement in the recruitment of child soldiers — stop," said U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs Linda Thomas-Greenfield. US Complicity in 'Some of the Most Gruesome Chemical Weapons Attacks' Revealed. As the U.S. and its allies weigh the possibility of military intervention in Syria over the use of chemical weapons, new reporting by Foreign Policy reveals details of how the U.S. helped Iraq launch multiple chemical weapons attacks during the Iran-Iraq war.

Iraqi President Saddam Hussein greets Donald Rumsfeld, then special envoy of President Ronald Reagan, in Baghdad on December 20, 1983. The magazine reports that formerly unnoticed documents in the National Archives in addition to information obtained in interviews with former intelligence officials "are tantamount to an official American admission of complicity in some of the most gruesome chemical weapons attacks ever launched.

" On Monday, Secretary of State John Kerry railed against chemical weapons he said were used in Syria. From his remarks: What we saw in Syria last week should shock the conscience of the world. It defies any code of morality. Let me be clear. Foreign Policy magazine reported on Monday: A Journalist Went Near Mount Rushmore To Take Some Photos. What He Found Changed His Life Forever. NSA Rejecting Every FOIA Request Made by U.S. Citizens. Clayton Seymour, a 36-year-old IT specialist from Hilliard, Ohio, recently sent a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the NSA, curious as to whether any data about him was being collected. What he received in response made his blood boil. “I am a generally law abiding citizen with nothing I can think of that would require monitoring,” Seymour wrote to me, “but I wanted to know if I was having data collected about me and if so, what.”

So Seymour sent in an FOIA request. Weeks later, a letter from the NSA arrived explaining that he was not entitled to any information. “When I got the declined letter, I was furious,” he told me. “I feel betrayed.” Seymour had decided to request his NSA file after coming across a recent post of mine instructing Americans on how to properly request such files from the FBI and NSA. LEAKED NORTH KOREAN DOCUMENTARY ‘EXPOSES WESTERN PROPAGANDA’ (AND IT’S SCARY HOW TRUE IT IS) Sabine is a YouTube user who, during a visit to family living in South Korea in April of this year, was given a DVD by a man and a woman claiming to be North Korean “defectors”, and was asked to translate the film so it could be posted on the internet and reach a wider audience.

What the DVD turned out to be was something much more than Sabine, or anyone else, probably would’ve imagined, and something that certainly has found a widespread audience on the internet over the last month or so – it was a film called “PROPAGANDA”, a documentary about capitalism, imperialism, mass manipulation of western culture for the purpose of commodification, and how it permeates every aspect of the lives of blissfully ignorant, borderline zombie masses. And jesus, is it on the fucking money. From the video’s description - North Korea in the 1980s The movie opens: “This is a film about psychological warfare. And in the real world, in case you haven’t realized, everything is propaganda. Table of Contents: How Bush's grandfather helped Hitler's rise to power | World news. George Bush's grandfather, the late US senator Prescott Bush, was a director and shareholder of companies that profited from their involvement with the financial backers of Nazi Germany.

The Guardian has obtained confirmation from newly discovered files in the US National Archives that a firm of which Prescott Bush was a director was involved with the financial architects of Nazism. His business dealings, which continued until his company's assets were seized in 1942 under the Trading with the Enemy Act, has led more than 60 years later to a civil action for damages being brought in Germany against the Bush family by two former slave labourers at Auschwitz and to a hum of pre-election controversy. The evidence has also prompted one former US Nazi war crimes prosecutor to argue that the late senator's action should have been grounds for prosecution for giving aid and comfort to the enemy. The debate over Prescott Bush's behaviour has been bubbling under the surface for some time.

On This Independence Day, America Needs to Walk Like An Egyptian, Because They’re Doing It Better. | WTF Op-Ed | Baran Hines There's too much whining and deflection of responsibility in America. Many people's actions are not conducive to the change they wish to see in the world and America at large.

At least the people who are trying to change things are making an effort, which is better than the throngs of apathetic majority of the American public. The reason for this article is partially in response to the wide range of comments received on the image below which is being used as the poster for this year's #911Truth Top 50 WTFacts. Perhaps the most notorious suppressed invention is the General Motors EV1, subject of the 2006 documentary, Who Killed the Electric Car? The EV1 was the world’s first mass-produced electric car, with 800 of them up for lease from GM in the late ’90s. GM ended the EV1 line in 1999, stating that consumers weren’t happy with the limited driving range of the car’s batteries, making it unprofitable to continue production. Many skeptics, however, believe GM killed the EV1 under pressure from oil companies, who stand to lose the most if high-efficiency vehicles conquer the market.

It didn’t help that GM hunted down and destroyed every last EV1, ensuring the technology would die out. In 1921, if the streetcar industry wasn’t actually naming streetcars Desire, it was certainly desiring more streetcars.
