4chan

4chan is an English-language imageboard website. Users generally post anonymously, with the most recent posts appearing above the rest. 4chan is split into various boards with their own specific content and guidelines. Registration is not required, nor is it possible (except for staff.) Launched on October 1, 2003, its boards were originally used for the posting of pictures and discussion of manga and anime , as the site was modelled on Japanese imageboards. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/4chan
I need your help, /g/. I have a home server (linux based if it matters) which I intend to use for backups, and I'm in need of a system which would ensure the integrity of all backed up files on said server's hard disks. I use rsync with my unix devices to transfer data to the server, so there's no problem with the transfer process- but I'd like to work out some method of storing checksums which could be used to check against the files on the server in an automated fashion. I've looked into md5deep, but that seems to output lists of checksums in a single file rather than individual files (one per file), and I can see no way to automate the verification of data integrity. I'm not particularly experienced with the unix shell, so any help with this would be much appreciated. http://boards.4chan.org/g/

FEMALE SEXY AUDIO (FSA) Formerly known as the FEMANON VOCAROO DIRTY TALK, MOANING, & SHENANIGANS THREAD which, let's face it, made for a terrible acronym. Vocaroo is still the mainstay-the 100% free and easy resource it has always been and the workhorse and standby for just about all of our performers, but there are so many audio sites out there now, that we can't be playing favorites. All sorts of audio links are welcome! http://www.salon.com/2011/08/15/what_if_anonymous_targeted_you/ As new technologies emerge, the hacker subculture evolves with them — as it has with the “big data dump,” where a single individual or group of hackers uncovers a massive amount of information and makes it public. The two most prominent examples, of course, are the cases of the collective Anonymous releasing more than 10 gigabytes of data from local sheriffs’ departments last week and WikiLeaks, specifically Julian Assange’s publication of more than 250,000 U.S. diplomatic cables in November 2010. It appears to be a new movement — releasing huge collections of sensitive data with the goal of rendering government actions transparent to the public, or simply in retaliation for a policy the hackers disagree with.

Encyclopedia Dramatica Becomes OhInternet

http://www.geekosystem.com/encyclopedia-dramatica-ohinternet/ From 2004 to 2011, Encyclopedia Dramatica was one of the few resources out there for people who wanted to learn about the strange culture of the Internet. The open wiki was always anarchic, and frequently racist, homophobic and otherwise offensive — indeed, last year, the Australian Human Rights Commission threatened it with legal action over an article that “encourage[d] racial hatred against Aborigines.” In more recent years, Know Your Meme , which was recently purchased by Cheezburger Networks at a low seven-figure valuation, picked up the slack in educating readers about Internet arcana, as did meme-savvier blogs.
A once noble pursuit of lulz, corrupted by immature elements. Page created by: Summary Encyclopedia Dramatica (or ED ) was a NSFW website which hosted a forum and a wiki similar to Wikipedia , except with the intent to archive lulz instead of trivia about anime and Star Wars .

The hackers hacked: main Anonymous IRC servers invaded

http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/news/2011/05/the-hackers-hacked-main-anonymous-irc-servers-seized.ars War rages between competing factions within the hacker collective Anonymous after this weekend's drama-filled takeover of the main Anonymous IRC server network. That network, used by Anons to plan and conduct attacks, was taken over by one of its own, an IRC moderator known as "Ryan." His attack has sparked a debate over the "leadership" of Anonymous.
