This year’s film programme focuses on four small nations emerging from confl ict: Palestine, Kurdish Iraq, Libya and Sri Lanka. In celebrating these cultures, we aim to create a vibrant international platform for cultural exchange and small nation dialogue in Scotland. Each film will be followed by a discussion featuring filmmakers and writers as they take questions from the audience and try to illuminate both the film, and the plight of each nation.

The Milton Friedman Prize for Advancing Liberty , named in honor of perhaps the greatest champion of liberty in the 20th century, is presented every other year to an individual who has made a significant contribution to advance human freedom. The prize, a cash award of $250,000, will be presented to Chinese economist Mao Yushi on May 4 at the Milton Friedman Prize for Advancing Liberty's Biennial Dinner at the Washington Hilton in Washington, D.C. Educational scenarios Organic Agriculture has become increasingly important on the agenda in European countries due to new policies and plans for sustainable development, encompassing social, economical and ecological factors. This will require greater focus on developing and sharing educational materials in Organic Agriculture (OA) and Agroecology (AE) for European youth. An educational scenario describes an educational activity, where the focus and starting point is a real life situation and not a theory. It refers to learning goals within a topic, and more specifically suggests learning activities, use of resources, and may also discuss the role of participating actors. In a scenario you first learn about water by visiting a river, not by reading a book.
