Double Take « Daily Encounter. Encounter Level 7 (1,800XP) This encounter was inspired by an episode of Angel (which Summer Glau guest stars in). A “wizard” had conjured up some goons and each time one of them died, it would split in two and each of the new goons would carry on fighting. However, the more goons there were, the more it drained the Wizards magic. Once a certain number of them were created, the magic failed and they all disappeared. For this encounter, the wizard in that scenario has been replaced with a trap covering the exit of the room. Background The PCs find themselves in a room that they cannot get out of due to a magical barrier blocking the door. Features of the Area Lightning Barrier: The door is blocked by a lightning barrier that causes damage to creatures near the door.
