A Thorny Path To A Beautiful Destination Is Worth Trudging

The road to any goal goes through action and experiences. Embarking on a roller coaster ride becomes bearable if you are clear about your goal. And do not hesitate to keep a Plan-B ready. For many reasons, I was desperate to start working while in class XI. I was in science stream. I started to visualize about working while studying, that too on something creative which can immerse me into deep ocean of dreams, quite unlike school.

While returning, didi warned me not to even think of getting into such things and to tear off the address. Next day right after school, I ran to the UPS office. "I can catch up sleep tomorrow," I said to myself and worked for the whole night. Back home, I started waiting for the call and dreaming of myfirst project. "I started waiting for the call and dreaming of my first project. One evening as I got down from school bus, a guy in a motorbike stopped by and informed that Mr. I smiled at the receptionist. Zaha Hadids Last Project Uses Gfrc. Every week, a ship leaves Dubai loaded with an entire floor's worth of structural pieces bound for One Thousand Museum, one of the last designs from the late superstar architect Zaha Hadid.

Zaha Hadids Last Project Uses Gfrc

The pieces, made of a lightweight concrete reinforced with glass fiber, form the sinuous skeleton that coils up along the exterior of the tower like the bones of an alien life form. The assembly of the bones is an intricately choreographed operation of daunting precision, using a construction technique that’s not been tried before. Once it’s finished, sometime in 2018, One Thousand Museum will be, to the best of anyone’s knowledge, only the second exoskeleton tower in Miami — that is, one in which structural support lie outside of the building’s skin, like the skeleton of an insect or a crustacean. The key to its construction lies in the use of the prefabricated pieces made from a material known as glass fiber-reinforced concrete, which is typically used as decorative facing.

For the Indian businesses and Indian real estate in particular, 2016 was a turbulent year, 2017 was the year of landmark reforms and implementation, while 2018 is expected to be the year of consolidation.

2018 Will Be The Year Of Consolidation For India

As India launched the GST (Goods and Service Tax), its biggest tax reform since independence in 1947, businesses and citizens across the country went through a period of economic chaos. GST as a reform is a way of formalising the economy and ensuring tax compliance, making it harder to earn black money. The earlier system was a myriad of central and state taxes where the movement of goods was slowed down by products being taxed multiple times and at different rates. The new indirect tax regime unifying the Indian market has four tax slabs of 5, 12, 18 and 28 per cent. 2018 Will Be The Year Of Consolidation For India. Vitofloor Floors For Life. Rasha Dakkak. Hani Mahfouz. Dubai, a modern cosmopolitan, has the entire world enthralled with its city structure’s design and beauty.

Hani Mahfouz

This fascination with the design of the city is the inspiration behind Hani Mahfouz’s installation which will be on display d3, titled ‘The Skyline’. ‘The Skyline’ celebrates the detailed hidden master-plan behind the jagged, geometrically planned structure of Dubai, with its buildings, skyscrapers, and roads coming together in a beautiful harmony. The modern city holds a blend of cultures, with a variety of contrasts, features, and ethnicity, which the artist reflects in a widely unrealistic, yet perfectly coordinated color scheme. The Journey of Hani’s Eventful Life Hani Mahfouz was born in Cairo in 1965, graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Alexandria University in 1988.

It happened almost overnight that Hani Mahfouz became a household name, but since then Hani Mahfouz Designs (HMD) has become one of the most recognisable Egyptian brands on the market. South Korean architect Moon Hoon - commonly known with his irregular but personalised forms and architecture created a unique building in Busan, South Korea with a structure that resembles an owl. The building is made of exposed concrete which defines the form of the building very clearly and expressively. His owl shaped structure doesn’t give the impression of an owl at first sight, but when you look at it closer or from the roadside, you may associate the shape formed by the angles of the setback regulation that has been abolished with big head and two eyes, giving it a formation of owl. The multifaceted housing is intentionally associated with the client’s personality and job - “my client is really a night owl and his job makes him stay up all night with glaring eyes, so the house really looks like an owl,” said Moon Hoon.
