Mists of Pandaria. Keybinding Guide: World of Warcraft. Don’t stick your fingers where they don’t belong “Your keybinds are bad, let me just fix them for you”. I think that in any of the 10 million homes around the world where WoW is played, that sentence would get me killed. Every single player I’ve talked to about their keybindings have been fiercely protective about them, to the point of aggression and stupidity in many cases. That to me suggests that these people have been spending a lot of time and thought on their keybinds, how else could they be so proud of them? Now, reality is that they haven’t. Most likely they made their first keybinds seven years ago when they started their first character, then added more as they got more spells.

Now we get to these categories that I’ve been talking about.

I originally wrote this guide in Patch 4.1, but it has been updated for Mists of Pandaria, and will continue to be updated so long as I have any amount of interest in this game at all. Enough with the intro, let’s get to the heirlooms. Recent Changes to Heirlooms Nothing much has really changed about heirlooms since 4.2. What Levels Can I Use Heirlooms? What About the Off-Hands? Raid Rx: Sometimes you just need to Focus. Every week, Raid Rx will help you quarterback your healers to victory! Your host is Matt Low, the grand poobah of World of Matticus and a founder of No Stock UI, a WoW blog for all things UI, macro, and addon related. I received a plea for help via email from a discipline priest.

Here's the gist of the email: Hi MattBasically I use grid and clique. I target my tank and have no issues with this. However, when it comes to dispelling Jaraxxus for example, I need to tab target to find him, and then use raid frames to get my tank back. Do you know of a way either by another raid frame or macro where I can consistently target the boss and heal the tank? Well Bizkit, there is something that can help you out. The focus is a feature that came out several years ago and WoW.com has touched on it before in the past. What exactly is the focus?

I'm going to pull a definition from WoWWiki as I can't explain it anymore eloquently: This is incredibly valuable for healers. Some focus commands Focus addons. Better keep an eye on that guy: the furbolg you're escorting through the crowd, the off tank you're in charge of healing, the add you're supposed to keep locked down ...

The problem is, you also need to click over here to -- argh, lost him in the crush! Now you'll have to tab ba -- whoops, passed him again! OK, start stabbing with the mouse ... If this sounds anything like the chaotic chatter in your brain during a typical encounter, you need more than mere help; you need a focus target. Once you set a focus target, it's right there on your screen. Setting and clearing focus targets /focus To set a player or NPC as your focus target, target the desired unit and type /focus. Because "focus" works as a generic unit name in macros (similar to "player", "target" or "pet"), you can create macros to handle common tasks like crowd control.
