DIY Boss FS-6 Dual Footswitch. For Father’s Day last year I bought my dad a Boss RC-2 Loop Station.
I was pleased with how it worked but I thought it could use a little extra functionality. Since it only has one stomp switch, performing some actions requires quick double-taps — this can be tricky to do accurately whilst trying to create a seamless guitar loop. I instead opted to make my own Boss FS-6 Dual Footswitch. The two extra stomp switches, when plugged into the RC-2, allow one to change loops or stop recording with single presses. Click for bigger The Boss FS-6 actually has multiple operating modes, but for the purpose of the RC-2 Looper Station, I only needed a mode that had momentary on (or “normally open”) switches.
Note that Pin 2 on the jack is ground.
