Tribalism has become a new buzz concept for social networking, but what is a tribe really? In this panel we will explore what Native Americans know about tribal systems and what holds them together, motivates membership and how to tap into that to support or create lasting tribes. There are 3 fundamental components: leadership, vision and ritual that can be the basis for tribal identification.

26 Tips to Enhance Your Experience on LinkedIn | Social Media Examiner
With more than 85 million users and “ a new member being added every second ,” LinkedIn is often regarded as the premier social networking site for business professionals . Companies also see LinkedIn as a valuable place to promote their products and services. Let’s explore LinkedIn together and see if you can identify new ways to enhance your user experience by considering the topics discussed below. As I’ve done in the companion pieces to this post, 26 Twitter Tips and 26 Facebook Tips , I’ll introduce LinkedIn Tips from A-Z. These tips will reference both personal and company perspectives. It started with a single, simple, question put to me by a good friend: ”What are the key qualities needed to be a leader in customer service?” There are, of course, a great number of existing text books, essays, blogs, etc. that address “best practices” in customer service, so answering the question with an easy answer was, well, easy. Too easy. So, as I often do, I stepped back and took a look at the question in its true context. The question was an outgrowth of the merging of a continuing series of conversations that I’ve been involved in regarding both business leadership and customer service. As I began considering the question in the context of these two somewhat independent discussions, a single point began to crystalize in my mind: Good customer service – industry leading customer service – involves all aspects of a company.

It hasn’t really started yet, but this is going to be simply enormous when it hits: fcommerce or ecommerce on facebook. From buying from pages, to joint purchasing (gifts for example), to being able to buy what your friends did, to buying cheaper together. This is round the corner, and here is something that will be well worth being part of. See here the article printed in Business week on the subject: Facebook Ramps Up Big E-Commerce Drive

Ric Dragon | DragonSearch Marketing; Internet Marketing Services & Consultants
One of the favorite games of SEO’s is to figure out what Google is thinking based on the data available. We create tests, analyze patterns, and even carefully review Matt Cutts’ videos backwards, seeking hidden messages. In that tradition, DragonSearch has embarked on a study of the colors in the Google logo to determine what color would come next if there was another letter in the Google name. As we are moving into the world of plus one with everything, and in the spirit of helping the graphic designers at Google, we think this question should be answered. I can’t recall what the particular medical reason was, obviously nothing drastic enough to remember: I may have been getting a script as backup for a trip. But as the doctor I had seen previously wasn’t available I found myself being attended by another doctor, the owner of the practice. As I entered, he looked up from his records and said “You’ve been a bad patient!”

I’m not going to lie, I’ve made some epic cold calls in my career. When I say “Epic”, I mean so good the stars seemed to align to spell “Uncle Paul” and so bad, that hanging up on myself was the only cure. Epic! As penance for the sins committed earlier in my sales career I’m even the not so proud recipient of an occasional epic(ly) bad call! It all started with an out of the blue email from someone that I might have exchanged all of about 2 tweets with. But that’s cool because on Twitter, that’s like, 2 tweets.

Evolution of the marketing concept has been closely linked to levels of competitive intensity arising from the immediate and remote environment of a company. Early in the past century, competitive intensity had very low standards (scarce offer and few brands), and the Production Concept arose based on serial production (volume) and massive product distribution in the territory. After a while, the Product Concept emerged, aimed to increase income by adding additional features to the product, making it more attractive for an ever-more competitive market. In the early 50s in North America, brands began to soar, bringing along higher levels of competitiveness.

As I browse the vast world of Twitter, hoping to find interesting people, I’m often annoyed and impressed with people’s choice of avatar. (Your avatar is your profile photo). Some people have great photos while others haven’t even bothered to upload one and have the basic boring twitter icon. Unless you don’t want people to see your face, I don’t see the reason not to have a good avatar.
