The Commercial Appeal sought and won the release of these documents to allow for a better understanding of the history and details of the case. Contained here are stories from our series, Church Secrets: Abuse in the Catholic Diocese of Memphis, and nearly 7,000 pages of testimony from the defendants, their accusers and expert witnesses, and numerous court motions, pleadings, and pieces of evidence, as well as histories of church behavior related to other incidents. The documents were removed from the site April 7, 2010, to ensure the names of victims and other innocent parties were not visible.
