Church Secrets - Records Information & News from The Commercial Appeal (Memphis, TN) The case of John Doe vs. The Catholic Bishop for the Diocese of Memphis, et al, produced thousands of pages of court documents, which until now, have been under seal by the court. The Commercial Appeal sought and won the release of these documents to allow for a better understanding of the history and details of the case. Contained here are stories from our series, Church Secrets: Abuse in the Catholic Diocese of Memphis, and nearly 7,000 pages of testimony from the defendants, their accusers and expert witnesses, and numerous court motions, pleadings, and pieces of evidence, as well as histories of church behavior related to other incidents. The documents were removed from the site April 7, 2010, to ensure the names of victims and other innocent parties were not visible.

Documents initially filed with the court were not properly redacted by attorneys for the victim and Diocese. MetaChat - How do you deal with a lack of faith? Atheist's Wager. On a beautiful summer day, I found myself at a party talking to a friend. “I don’t have anything to offer. To which she replied, “I would prefer hope and salvation over a few hours back.”

I removed myself from the situation, it wasn’t my party and I didn’t want to cause a scene. To Pascal, there were two choices – believe in Christianity (I’ll address this later) or not.
