Mediterranean Orzo Salad

Well hello dear readers! Nice of you to join me here, at this oft-neglected blog of mine. Work has taken a turn for the busier, and I’ve not been posting as much as I’d like. http://www.notderbypie.com/mediterranean-orzo-salad/

Salmon Salad Sandwich

But what does one do with leftover salmon? I find many ways, but with my strange need to always create something new I thought of doing a spin on the old tuna salad sandwich. But what about the mayo? http://www.nourishingmeals.com/2009/01/salmon-salad-sandwich.html
I love cucumbers. They smell heavenly and are have a refreshingly cool crunch to them. Tea sandwiches are great in their standard form, but why not make open-faced sandwiches to show off your cucumber? Okay, that didn’t come out right, but you know what I mean. These are so easy, you’re going to laugh. Or rather, you’re going to make them for guests and try not to smirk when your party-goers fawn all over them.

http://smittenkitchen.com/blog/2009/01/smashed-chickpea-salad/ It has been over one week since I told you about the Light Wheat Bread (and just as long since we’ve been out of it, sob), a post I ended with a promise to tell you about my new favorite sandwich next. But instead I told you about Clementine Cakes and then Mushroom Bourguignon and Chouquettes and do you know what happened? Not a single person griped that they were owed a sandwich. Because really, who does that? I take issue with the banality of most sandwich recipes. I will actually change the channel if I see a food program that walks viewers through making one of any kind.
