Cheshire Cat Shoes :) Sweater Boots!! Jeffrey Campbell TICK shoes. I’ve been staring at these booties for a while, ever since Cher sent me the link to them, trying to decide if I wanted to attempt to make my own or not.

Jeffrey Campbell TICK shoes

I caved. I used a pair of lavender wedges I had, because they’re totally badass (haha). You will need: Shoes with a wedges/platform that can be penetrated by the thumbtacks (mine was rubber) Thumbtacks (I used about 1,000)Optional: Hammer (if your soles are harder) Gloves (I suggest these because your fingers will get TIRED and these will help protect them) Fabric glue (this probably shouldn’t be optional) I started with one shoe, in the very front. I followed the curve of the shoe around and tried to space the thumbtacks accordingly. I underestimated the amount of thumbtacks I would need VASTLY. I went around and followed the curve a second time, overlapping slightly and trying to cover as much of the original twine as I could, without making the tacks stick out. Third time round, same thing. This time, I did it a little different. See? Walk of Fame Wedges. Here is my first DIY post in the Feet category and I have to say I am pretty proud.

Walk of Fame Wedges

I have called them my Walk of Fame Wedges, for obvious reasons, and love the way they shine even in day light ! The blue goes with a lot of my clothes and easily suits denim slims. It is also particularly in this summer so I will definitely be getting some use out of these beauties ! They’re high but easy enough to walk in so I will be showing them around London ASAP. To make your own Walk of Fame Wedges YOU WILL NEED : - A pair of wedges, I went for these from H&M, £24,99 - Some tiny shiny stars, I used about 400 on each shoe I think and bought 1,000 for £1.60 at Creative Beadcraft - Some craft glue, I used Appli Glue - A touch of creativity - 5 hours of your time and a good album to listen to (a few times over!)

Apply the glue in tiny dots onto the wedge of your shoe. Once you have covered a few centimeters of wedge with dots of glue, carefully stick a star to each dot. Leave to dry and wear ! - Jeans by Next. Glitter Sneakers. When Target approached me about a Converse One Star DIY challenge I couldn’t resist, but it wasn’t until I saw these Miu Miu glitter sneakers that I had any clue how I was going to give my white sneaks a personality all their own.

Glitter Sneakers

DIYers have been glueing glitter to their shoes for decades! The most challenging part of this DIY was figuring out what material I was going to use to create the steel toe. I was thrilled to find the little pyramid studs in my own craft closet to complete the look. And though I leave a little trail of fairy dust behind me wherever I go, I have to admit, I love the way they turned out. Here’s What You’ll Need… * Converse One Stars from Target $34.99 – courtesy of Target* Fabric glue and/or MOD PODGE* I used Crayola paint brushes to apply the glue.* Silver glitter {I bought an 8oz jar but only used 1/4″ of it. 4oz is plenty. * Fine glitter in black* Painter’s tape* Iron-on silver pyramid studs {which I can’t seem to find online}= Steps… Voila!

Have Fun!
