Portobello Road Market. MOCHILEANDO POR EL MUNDO: SHOPPING & THE CITY: LONDRES. My Favourite Europe Travel Apps - Posted on 05. Aug, 2014 by Marie-Eve Vallieres in Europe Travel, Travel Tips Anytime someone asks me “What’s the one thing you wouldn’t travel without?” , my answer inevitably is “My iPhone” — what I commonly refer to as my other half (and yes, I am married to an actual human being). 50 Cool Things to Do in Paris. One of the best things about Paris is the sheer number of things there are to see and do—and, of course, eat! Our most recent trip to Paris was our second time to the magical City of Lights. This time around, we did a ton of research prior to our arrival in an effort to discover the best off-the-beaten-path restaurants, activities, shopping and attractions. We also wanted to leave time to re-discover a handful of quintessential Parisian landmarks.

We didn’t have time to check everything off our Paris bucket list—with fifty things to do in just six days, we would have driven ourselves crazy if we tried. But even though we didn’t test out everything firsthand, we still wanted to make sure our hours of research went to good use. So here you have the fruits of our labor: 50 Cool Things to Do in Paris.

Australia boasts some of the most magnificent scenery in the world, with endless unique and unusual natural features, making road trips an easy and spontaneous way of exploring the local turf.

The team at last-minute hotel booking app HotelQuickly has given Mashable their top ten picks for when it comes to hitting the road. Co-founder of Hotel Quickly Christian Mischler, who has just launched the app in Australia and is heading down the Great Ocean Road this long weekend, told Mashable Australia's infrastructure, reliance on cars and accommodation availability makes it the perfect place for an impromptu road trip. Jan, 2014 by Marie-Eve Vallieres in Europe Travel, Travel Tips While few things make me happier than falling asleep in Egyptian-thread sheets and bathing in L’Occitane toiletries, I do appreciate a good hostel as well. My friend and fellow blogger Kash recently published the Bible of luxury hostels in Europe, which focuses on hostels with high standards, stylish private rooms and affordable prices.

I like good value, regardless of what price I actually pay. I absolutely love splurging on a 5* hotel room every now and then, and I expect impeccable service, marble floors and 50″ TV screen when I do. Rather than sit in a classroom and learn about the world through a someone else’s eyes, I did it through adventures and misadventures, tears and laughter. I know I still have so much to discover, but here are some lessons that sometimes I had to learn the hard way. Some of them I already kinda knew, some I are silly, some are serious, some are obvious, and some are embarrassing. Maybe this collection will help open up new doors in your own life and own travels, and although we will all learn our own lessons, I hope maybe I will help someone avoid some of my mistakes (example: #14).
