East York Meals on Wheels was established by volunteers in 1969. Today, volunteers continue to be the driving force behind all the agency’s activities. Last year, 195 volunteers contributed 7,552 hours of their valuable time. There are many volunteer opportunities at East York Meals on Wheels. Here are some of the jobs that volunteers do: High School Students - Volunteer - How to Apply - Sunnybrook Hospital. High school students are an integral part of our volunteer program. Opportunities are available in the summer and through the school year for those 16 years and older.
