With the warmer weather we have been having recently I was starting to have a little concern over the temps of my HIS6970. Temps while playing DA2, Crysis, Stalker: CoP and others had been hitting 90C while 3D Mark 11 and Heaven would see temps top out around the 95C mark. A little toasty if you ask me even if the cards are rated for higher temps. The stock cooler has never been all that quiet to my ears (came from a 260 GTX Sonic which was all but innaudble) and left on a default fan profile the card would reguarly hit 50% fanspeed which is just about unbearable. I know my case is not fantasitc for aircooling even with additional fans but quietness > airflow/temps in my eyes.
