Lofted Forest Home: Organic Curves & Natural Materials | Designs &I... Good things come to those who wait – particularly in a work of uniquely detailed and highly curved architecture. Nearly a decade in the making, this structure by Robert Harvey Oshatz is much like a tree house – lofted toward the top of the canopy around it – only bigger, grander, more complex and curved than most any tree house in the world. The perimeter of the structure is pushed out into the forest around it, curving in and out to create views as well as a sense of intimacy with the coniferous and deciduous tree cover.

The wood and metal detailing is incredible in its variety and customization – each piece designed to fit a particular form and function. Wood and stone carry naturalistic themes from the outside in and even the metal looks naturally rusted. The curved, organic mix of materials continues to the interior of this elevated forest home – a conceptual play on the fluidity and complexity of music (the source of inspiration for the architect and client in the design). Re_Vinyl clocks by Pavel Sidorenko & Yanko Design. Vinyl Record Clocks of Many Shapes Now, before I begin explaining what’s going on here, I’ve got to say that this ISN’T the first time I’ve seen someone apply the clock idea to a vinyl record.

But- but! This is the first time I’ve seen someone do it so masterfully. These clocks are laser-cut to shapes that are fantabulous, wild, and weird. There’s a gun, a bird, a coffee pot, whatever you desire. In addition to the enticing nature these clocks already present, let me throw another tasty carrot into your soup: perfect uniqueness. Take a peek! *”plate” is another word for “record”, this comes from the idea that the record resembles a plate that you’d put your food on and eat off of. Designer: Pavel Sidorenko. Magnificent Storytelling Illustrations (7 total) Israeli-born illustrator Tomer Hanuka creates incredibly interesting scenes. His stories are told not just by the expressions on his characters' faces but by the beautiful colors he chooses and the mysterious shadows he casts.

His passion for drawing emerged at a young age, when he fell in love with American comic books. He found them "mysterious and majestic, an unreachable light in a faraway land, and more beautiful and exciting than anything around. " His client list includes prestigious newspapers and magazines like Time, The New Yorker, Spin, The New York Times, and Rolling Stone. "This is about storytelling; it's creating drama, not unlike a movie director, but frozen in a single moment," Hanuka said. "An illustrator might find it hard to get a gig in a magazine, but can design wallpapers, set up an e-shop, and print on-demand through another vendor. For those just starting out, what advice would Hanuka give? Tomer Hanukawww.thanuka.com. V Lock for easy finding of the keyhole by Junjie Zhang & Yanko Design.

Never Miss the Key Hole Lost in the dark! That’s usually what happens when you get home from a long day of working, skateboarding, drinking, whatever! It’s dark outside, you wanna get into your house, but by golly if it isn’t the most difficult thing in the world to get that key aligned with the key hole in order to insert and turn! Here’s the key to this problem. The “V Lock.” It’s got a v. I think you’ll understand this concept in basically 0 seconds.
