Après la présentation avant-hier d'une nouvelle Xbox redessinée et l'arrivée prochaine de Kinect (anciennement surnommé projet Natal), après l'officialisation de la console portable 3DS par Nintendo, c'est au tour de Sony d'être au centre de toutes les attentions, avec la démonstration de son PlayStation Move. Dévoilé en mars dernier lors de la Game Developers Conference de San Francisco, le PlayStation Move a pour ambition de concurrencer Nintendo chez les joueurs occasionnels. Imitant dans les grandes lignes le couple Wiimote / Nunchuck, le PlayStation Move est composé d'une manette principale et d'une manette optionnelle dotée d'un stick analogique.

Après les conférences de Microsoft et Nintendo, Sony ferme le bal avec ce qui devrait être un événement plein de surprises. Il est 21h00 et le show commence… Après un speech interminable sur les bienfaits de la 3D, Hermen Hulst de Guerrilla Games arrive enfin sur scène pour nous présenter Killzone 3. Et pour l’occasion, les lunettes 3D sont de rigueur puisque le jeu gère totalement cet aspect. Mais à vrai dire, même en 2D, le jeu s’annonce exceptionnel! S’en est suivie une ribambelle de trailers de jeux 3D à venir dont Killzone 3 (évidemment) mais également The Sly Collection, Crysis 2, Gran Turismo 5 (si, si, il sortira un jour), Shaun White: Skateboarding, un nouveau Mortal Kombat, …

E3> LittleBigPlanet 2 en images. E3 2010: LittleBigPlanet 2 makes sense to us now, LittleBigPlane. It’s hard not to be a little intimidated by the idea of LittleBigPlanet 2. If you’ve ever created a level in the first game, you know that just making a 2D platformer level can be demanding enough – but using the same interface to create an RTS, a 3D shooter or any other kind of game you want? That seems impossible. Mind-bogglingly impossible. Now that we’ve seen LBP2 with our own eyes, however, and had a chance to play through a few of its early user-made levels ourselves, it feels like we’ve got a much better handle on what’s in store. As it turns out, LBP2 is one of those things that seems terribly complicated when you hear about it, but actually looks simple and intuitive close-up.

If you’re just playing through one of LBP2’s more traditional side-scroller levels, there won’t be much of an immediate difference from what you might be used to in LBP1. Spoilers will be abound after this first set of screens so beware if you didn’t finish the first game. PixelJunk Shooter 2 begins where we left off in the last game, swallowed by that big ass worm. So we have to navigate our way out of there and pick up any survivors along the way. New features to Shooter 2 are online head-to-head battling, ghost players, and “virtual” co-op. E3 '10: Sony Presses Move. E3 '10: Sony Presses Move Sony's press conference this year was a sparkly affair, but little of substance emerged beyond the unveiling of their new subscription program, Playstation Plus, lots of Microsoft and Nintendo jokes, "PS2, still goin' strong!

" and of course Playstation Move. Oh, and Kevin Butler came out to reprise his role as the face of the current Playstation ad campaign. But even where Move is concerned, Sony said rather little. Look out for Fruit Brute and VorpalBunny's coverage of their Sony booth tour later on for actual details about Sony's new dual-wielding Wiimote. What we did hear about Move was largely confined to dollars, and awkwardly at that. The pricing is $49.99 for the Playstation Move motion controller and $29.99 for the Playstation Move navigation controller, $99 for both and Sports Champions, Sony's equivalent of WiiSports, as well as a demo disc.
