En fait, même s’il s’agit d’une nouvelle aventure de Link, j’ai eu du mal à voir la révolution tant attendue au travers de cette petite démonstration orchestrée par Shigeru Miyamoto. Et ce ne sont pas les quelques soucis techniques rencontrés par la technologie sans-fil qui sont en cause: c’est simplement que je ne suis pas enthousiasmé et qu’il s’agit d’une maigre déception (pour moi). Naturally, Nintendo led off with the Wii title The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, bringing out Miyamoto himself to demo the game in person (with some technological hiccups due to wireless interference). The graphics are realistic with a nice cartoon sheen to them, and the Wiimote controls your sword with Motion Plus 1:1 movement, while the Nunchuck controls your shield.

When the title was first announced a while back, many people were skeptical. The name sounded a little grand and the theme seemed rather dark for the world's favorite mouse. But Warren Spector, quite the Disney-phile himself, has done a spectacular job in creating what looks to be one of the most wonderfully fun and artistic games this year. Epic Mickey's storyline is a little complicated but here it is in a nutshell. Mickey finds himself transported to an alternate world called the Cartoon Wasteland which is made up of tons of forgotten properties and characters from Disney's 80 year history . While this all may sound a bit juvenile, the game is anything but. Your main weapons are paint and paint thinner.
