Nestlé Subsidiary Tries to Sell Small Town it’s Own Water: Residents Fight Back. Christina Sarich | Naturalsociety | Aug 5th 2014 Perhaps you’ve yet to hear of a little town called Fryeburg, Maine, USA.

Nestlé Subsidiary Tries to Sell Small Town it’s Own Water: Residents Fight Back

It sits on its own pristine aquifer, but once Nestlé subsidiary Poland Spring moved to town, residents noticed that their streams were getting smaller. Geoengineered Drought Crushes California, Who Profits? » Geoengineered Drought Crushes California, Who Profits? Why in the world would those in power create a drought cataclysm in California?

This question is thrown at me constantly. I give answers and reasons, many of them, but for a large number of people the truth is just too hard to accept. First, whatever one wants to consider as the motive behind the all out weather modification assault on California, one thing is certain, this drought is completely engineered from top to bottom. The “up stream ” rain blocking spraying in the Eastern Pacific is constant as shown in the satellite photo below. If the rain is intentionally being blocked consistently and aggressively, there is clearly a motive.

Scientists can’t quite figure it out. Edible Water Bottle Could Save The Planet. Created by London-based industrial design students Rodrigo García González, Pierre Paslier, and Guillaume Couche, the Ooho is a blob-like water container made out of an edible algae membrane.

The design is inspired by how liquid drops form and how egg yolks work. The container is created using a culinary technique called “spherification” and the water is held inside by a double gelatinous membrane. The gel around the water is created from brown algae and calcium chloride. Because of the double membrane, identification labels can be placed in-between the layers without affecting the water and without the need for adhesive.

From Attorney James Robert Deal: The flurosilicic acid added to our water contains lead, arsenic, mercury, cadmium, and thallium. It leaches lead from pipes. It is not safe, not effective, and not legal. 4 Ways To Filter and Purify Water With Fruit. Minced banana peels could be used repeatedly to purify water contaminated by industrial plants and farms — up to 11 times — and still be effective.

In their study paper titled “Banana Peel Applied to the Solid Phase Extraction of Copper and Lead from River Water: Preconcentration of Metal Ions with a Fruit Waste” they also noted the very low cost of banana peels and the fact there is no need to prepare them chemically for the water purification procedure. Gustavo Castro and colleagues note that mining processes, runoff from farms, and industrial wastes can all put heavy metals, such as lead and copper, into waterways.

Heavy metals can have adverse health and environmental effects. Current methods of removing heavy metals from water are expensive, and some substances used in the process are toxic themselves. It Takes How Much Water to Grow an Almond?! California, supplier of nearly half of all US fruits, veggies, and nuts, is on track to experience the driest year in the past half millennium.

Farms use about 80 percent of the state's "developed water," or water that's moved from its natural source to other areas via pipes and aqueducts. As the maps above show, much of California's agriculture is concentrated in the parts of the state that the drought has hit the hardest. For example: Monterey County, which is currently enduring an "exceptional drought," according to the US Drought Monitor, grew nearly half of America's lettuce and broccoli in 2012.

When it comes to water use, not all plants are created equal. Here's how much water some of California's major crops require: How Powdered Water May Cure Drought and Famine. By: Amanda Froelich, True Activist.

How Powdered Water May Cure Drought and Famine

Whether in the parched deserts of sub-Saharan Africa or in the blistering heat of one of California’s deserts, the thirst for water is titanic. Climates with hot, arid weather can often fall victim to drought, and in effect, suffer a loss of crops and eventual famine. However, an invention originating from Mexico may be the long-sought cure for this type of tragedy; it allows farmers to store water for times when it’s essential and has the potential to change the world in locations where water is scarce. Bottled Water Leeches 24,000 Chemicals Into Your Body, Study Finds. By Elizabeth Renter | Natural SocietyNovember 30th, 2013 Several companies have stopped using BPA in plastic production due to consumer outrage, but just because a plastic container says it is “BPA Free” doesn’t mean it’s free of potentially harmful chemicals.

Bottled Water Leeches 24,000 Chemicals Into Your Body, Study Finds

As a matter of fact, recent research out of Germany indicates there are more than 24,000 of such chemicals in any given bottle of water—with some of them causing serious hormone-disrupting effects. According to the story from Goethe University Frankfort, the researchers tested 18 different bottled water products in an effort to look for endocrine disrupting chemicals, or EDCs. They found far more than expected, identifying 24,520 different chemicals in their testing. After isolating the chemicals and determining their impact on the body, the researchers narrowed down those with anti-estrogenic properties to one: DEHF or di(2-ethylhexyl) fumarate.
