She started training as an actress in Montpellier, then went to the City Lit Institute in London before going back to France, this time training at Acting International School of Acting in Paris. She worked for French actor Patrick Timsit as a rehearsal study for his TV film 'Landru'. But an opportunity to move to L.A. came up and she took it! Soraya is now focusing on a film career.

http://ohlalaispeakfrench.com/about-main/about/ Soraya was born in El Biar, Algeria, but grew up in the South of France in a healthy mixture of Algerian, Spanish and French cultures (she speaks French, English and Spanish). She started acting in a small workshop in the South of France and her passion for acting kept growing from then on. After a masters degree in English, she moved to England and taught French at Manchester University for a year. She then stayed in London for 4 years and followed acting classes at the City Literary Institute. She then went back to France where she studied at Acting International in Paris. She wrote her first play in 2004 and performed it that same year at the Avignon Festival in France.
