Cat Story: Towser, World's Best Mouser

Towser the Cat was a long haired tortoiseshell that lived in the Scottish Glenturret Distillery. In her nearly 24 years as a resident at the distillery, Towser caught a Guinness World Record 28,899 mice! [4] When Alfred Barnard visited the distillery he described the valley as “a perfect paradise to artists, who come in great numbers to transfer some of its transcendant beauties to canvas.” [5] The distillery is located in the parish of Monzievaird and Strowan.[6] History[edit] The distillery was originally known as “Hosh” and was originally owned by the Drummond family.
