Latest News Beirut, March 19-22, 2012 - Training Workshop on International Arbitration – A four day training workshop was delivered by the World Bank to Iraqi government officials, including lawyers and senior procurement specialists from Ministry of Planning – Public Contracting directorate, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of oil, Board of Supreme Audit, Investment Board, and participants from KRG, Ministry of planning and finance. The purpose of the training was to assist government officials understand the legal framework relating to international arbitration, modernization of public contracts management system (for procurement of main projects and oil and gas contracts), and best international practices regarding dispute resolution mechanisms.
