September 2013 This was certainly one of the more unusual assignments I’ve been tasked with but, when Neil Taylor of Float Beyond got in touch to invite So Cheshire to attend a session in one of his flotation pods, it was just such an unusual offer that I simply couldn’t say no! So, first thing’s first: what exactly is floating? Well, essentially it’s an hour-long session in a giant bathtub (with a lid!) Where the buoyancy of the Epsom salt water keeps you floating and relaxed throughout. The best part is, due to the carefully controlled temperature of the water, you hardly realise you’re surrounded by water at all. The whole thing experience is intended to create a unique way to relax and destress.
Does anyone do monthly memberships or rewards/loyalty stamp cards. I tried the membership route and had problems.
First, with my booking system, I thought membership charges were all automatic. I was wrong and found out later that after having my membership program up and running for 10 months non of the monthly charges were being made because I was supposed to go into the system manually each month and start the process. I had to bill everyone who did float for their floats long after the fact. Secondly, my members were not floating even though they thought they had accumulated floats. I already had in place a package price for my massages (I am also a massage therapist) and this had worked well. Comments people had about the float memberships were that they were confused by it.
