Watercolors are a great way to introduce a child to painting -- they are fun and easy to clean up. It's also the media to try if you want to paint, but you have a limited amount of space or time. Easy to set up, interrupt, and pick up again, these paints provide a great deal of flexibility.
Watercolors differ from other paints in that they are transparent. When light meets the paint, it actually travels through the paint to the white paper beneath, then bounces back from the paper. Some have compared this to the same effect you would get with stained glass. There is a large variety of supplies to choose from when beginning, but we’ll go through them so you can find the ones that will best fit your needs and budget. For example, you’ll find that cheap paper tears easily; too much rubbing or too much water can cause it to fall apart. They had instructions on how to take a simple popsicle stick and turn it into a bracelet. I’m always happy to try and take a good idea and run with it. Well, I’m certainly on board for that. The thought of being able to make wood pliable put all kinds of ideas in my head. But we’ll start with the project at hand which happened to be bracelets. So just in time for Easter Baskets, lets put together some cute bracelets.

To start, hold the end of the yarn in your hand, and begin wrapping the yarn around your fingers – snug but not too tight. Cut the yarn after 90 wraps, and carefully slide it off your fingers.

We made our first batch of crayon hearts for Valentine’s Day after I read about them on Whipperberry. They are super easy to make and look really cool. And best of all, it’s turning trash into treasure. What a lesson to teach your children! So start collecting your crayons in a jar (we used an old pickle jar). Use an oven safe baking mold and fill them up with the crayon pieces. Bake at 300 degree for 15 minutes (or until completely melted- mine took about 25 minutes).
