About - Simple and Season

I was working as a Marketing Manager at a global brand, and coming home from work and just collapsing on the sofa watching crap TV all night until I went to bed, only to wake up the next morning and repeat. So on my dog walks I was thinking of how I could get out of this life rut and inject some creativity back into my life. I’d had several failed blogs over the years, and it was still and itch I wanted to scratch. Campfire: Building A Brightly Burning Business Blog. What happens on this course?

Campfire: Building A Brightly Burning Business Blog

Campfire is a blogging for business course, and will take you through my 8 step process for creating quality content, consistently, over the course of 4 weeks. Why four weeks? Because I don’t think we should be putting off your business blog any longer than necessary. This is the process that I use to put together my own content strategy, and the one that has helped my coaching clients create beautiful, on-brand content for their businesses too. The Marriage of Art + Commerce: Tales from Our Family of Hudson Valley – New York Makers

Photo: Ellie Stover Artists are often seen as superior creatures who transcend and forego ordinary human concerns to commune with the muses and produce possibly history-making works that benefit and, even spiritually, can enrich us lowly mortals. But when you talk to creators themselves, it’s clear that art and commerce can — and for the sake of the artist, should — commingle. It’s true. Like a family with in-laws. Our Story — Breakthrough New York. Breakthrough New York transforms the lives of talented kids from low-income backgrounds by providing educational support from middle school through college and into careers.

Our Story — Breakthrough New York

We also inspire talented young people to enter careers in education through our students-teaching-students model. Our goal is to create leaders who break the cycle of poverty in their families and effect positive change in their communities. We know that the students with the highest potential are most often the ones who are ignored in large public school classrooms.

Teachers are often not able to devote the time or resources to cultivate their talent, yet these are the students who are most likely to be leaders and college graduates among their peers. Our organization was founded to harness and support the potential of these young people who, with our guidance, will change the trajectory of their lives. We began in 1999 as a first-in-class middle school program. Sisterhood Camp – COMMUNITY, CAREERS, CREATIVITY & WELLNESS. Your browser isn't supported. Happy Community Project - Reshaping Our World. About – M A K E R S

Conceived as a community project to inspire creativity, enhance skills, foster economic growth and add to local cultural and social opportunities, Makers is a privately funded, non-profit social enterprise. It’s a very simple concept with such a broad application that it very nearly defies a quick “elevator speech”. Equal parts a community driven “trade school”, a social space, an arts center and a retail space, we’ve started it with the idea that if we build it, it will evolve into exactly what the community needs. M A K E R S – Windsor Makers is a place where the community can learn, teach, tinker, gather, collaborate, share, innovate, socialize, build, create, buy and sell.

Maker culture. The maker culture is a contemporary culture or subculture representing a technology-based extension of DIY culture. Typical interests enjoyed by the maker culture include engineering-oriented pursuits such as electronics, robotics, 3-D printing, and the use of CNC tools, as well as more traditional activities such as metalworking, woodworking, and traditional arts and crafts. The subculture stresses new and unique applications of technologies, and encourages invention and prototyping.[1] There is a strong focus on using and learning practical skills and applying them creatively.
