The Name Hugo means "Bright in mind and spirit" or "Intelligence. " Standing at roughly 9 feet tall at the beginning of the first novel, he is made of soil, clay, and stone. Xyber 9 was a noble effort - the show had decent designs and the animation was a nice mix of CG and cel animation, but it never really found an audience. The show was only on the air a short time, and the toy line hit the clearance bins shortly after. One of the nicer toys they created was C.L.O.D. (Combat Land Operated Defender). Sure the fluid looked okay in the viewport, but when it came to rendering the internal renderer did a horrible job. The complex properties of water meant that it simply couldn’t create realistic water simulation results. However, thanks to the new physically accurate rending engine Cycles, we can have fluid that actually looks half decent. Enter into a new era of realistic water and glass.
