A Continuous Lean.
A few years ago when Hermès renovated its NYC flagship it decided to exile its men’s shop across the street to its very own stand alone shop. This resulted in a first for the storied French luxury brand, the world’s only Hermès men’s shop . Not only is it exclusively menswear, the shop also boasts one of the most lust worthy bespoke programs ever imagined. It’s like a French Savile Row, except the work rooms aren’t downstairs, they’re in Paris. The bottom two levels offer a normal selection of accessories and sportswear that have made Hermès the most well respected luxury brands in the world.

Tiens, un mois plus axé « peau » que « cheveux » pour une fois. Serait-ce un effet Botox? Rassurez-vous, je n’ai pas succombé aux sirènes de ce produit qui me fait plus flipper qu’autre chose, c’est juste que le mois dernier, ce type d’injection fêtait ses dix ans . I love this story I did for Tank Magazine that’s out now, Aya Kanai did the styling and I got to choose some of my outfits. This magnificent dress is by Jason Wu and was incredibly fun to shoot. Jason Nocito was a cool photographer to work with, his way of shooting was very energetic and always moving. I was moving so much that day that I had small bruises all over. Totally worth it!

For the atmosphere and the deco, for the shopping – Isabel Marant, Suno, Rochas and Jil Sander mixed with younger brands and treasures Maryam brings back from her travels… And of course for Maryam herself, but I’ll tell you more about her soon. Her blog is pretty cool if you’re interested in her aesthetic. If you’re in New York for the holidays, what’s nice to do in the neighborhood is to go to Maryam’s, then go check Narnia, a really cool vintage store. Then you can make a stop at Schiller’s, a delicious yet a little bit over trendy restaurant (which is exactly what you want when you visit a city) that gets a little bit too crowded during the weekend (brunch nightmaaaare !)
